Our Story

In 1982, Pat Caruso founded Associated Refuse Haulers with a clear mission: provide reliable, honest waste hauling to the communities of Fairfield County, Connecticut. Working from Monroe, Pat built the company one delivery at a time — showing up when promised, pricing fairly, and treating every customer's property with care.

Since then, that mission has not changed. What started as a small local operation has grown into one of the region's most trusted names in roll-off dumpster rental, serving homeowners, contractors, and businesses across 39 towns in Fairfield County and beyond. But we are still family-owned, still headquartered at 87 Enterprise Drive in Monroe, and still answering our own phone.

What We Do

Associated Refuse Haulers focuses exclusively on roll-off dumpster rentals for construction, renovation, demolition, and cleanout projects. We operate a fleet of containers ranging from compact 4-yard bins for small cleanouts to 30-yard containers for new construction and major demolition.

Our service territory spans from Greenwich on the coast to Sherman in the northwest and Beacon Falls in the Naugatuck Valley. We deliver Prompt and next-day throughout this area, with the fastest response in Monroe and neighboring communities like Trumbull, Shelton, Newtown, and Bethel.
